Bubble Play Question (Maybe An Interesting Hand?)
Stars 55K. This is really on the bubble - as in, there are 100 left, and 99 pay. We are hand for hand, and nobody has been eliminated in the last 3 hands. I'm probably in 85th place or so (so, there is a chance I could call on the river, lose and still take 99th place, if that impacts anyone's decision). I don't care too much about 99th place money, but obviously it's infinitely better than $0 and what are my chances of going deep at this point anyway?
UTG + 1 seems like a reasonable, tight-ish player to me. I imagine he thinks I am a bit donkish; I've blown a big stack in the last 40 hands or so, but I've been pretty tight since my stack got small. Again, maybe all of this is routine, but thoughts on any streets are appreciated. Re: Bubble Play Question (Maybe An Interesting Hand?)
Don't cold-call for >20% of your stack preflop with a marginal hand.
Once you get to that flop, push it. Once you get to that turn, push it. |
