Re: Journey Concert? (Def Leppard opening for them)
I have two tickets to their show at Xcel Energy Center on July 18th, so I'm going to say yeah, you should go.

I am on the fence about this concert as well

Re: Journey Concert? (Def Leppard opening for them)
A bunch of us have tickets for the show in September at the 6 Flags here in WNY... We can't freakin' wait for this one... Of course, we're a bunch of alcoholic potheads still living our teen years well into our 20s, but we're psyched either way...

Re: Journey Concert? (Def Leppard opening for them)
The longtime guitarist for arena rockers Journey, Neal Schon was born February 27, 1954 in San Mateo, CA; a child prodigy, he joined Santana at age 17, making his debut on 1971's III LP. In 1973 Schon co-founded Journey with fellow Santana alum Gregg Rolie; although the group's early records favored a largely instrumental, progressive rock-influenced approach, with the 1978 addition of frontman Steve Perry their commercial fortunes ascended as slick hard rock hits like "Wheel in the Sky," "Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'," and "Anyway You Want It" became FM radio staples. In 1981, Schon teamed with keyboardist Jan Hammer for the fusion-inspired Untold Passion; that same year, Journey achieved mega-stardom with the release of the chart-topping Escape, which yielded the Top Ten hits "Who's Crying Now," "Open Arms," and "Don't Stop Believin'."

[ QUOTE ] And Steve Perry is not in da house. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, but doesn't the replacement look, act, and sound EXACTLY like Perry? Nobody should be going to this concern sober, so it should be pretty much impossible to tell the difference. This is a must-see. [/ QUOTE ] He really does. I saw Journey back in 2003 and they had a nearly identical sound. In fact, the guy's name is Steve Augieri which rhymes with Steve Perry. |
