I 3-bet the turn and if he caps, I pay off his quads w/ a c/c. I guess he could also be raising on the flop w/ a FD.

3-bet on the flop. I'm not convinced he has an ace yet, he may just have a flush draw, or a pair of two's, or a medium pocket pair. If he caps, oh well. Anyway, we have UTG in there padding the pot, so let's squeeze some money out of him too. You just improved to a full house on the turn. If our friend capped the flop, I'm check/raising him. If he called our flop 3-bet, I'm betting out. If he raises/3-bets me, I'll call. He might have quads, but he's much too likely to have a smaller pocket pair or aces full of twos. If I was 3-bet/raised on the turn, I'm check-calling the river. If he has shown any weakness though, I'm betting out again. Expect to see a busted flush draw, a pair of twos, or some pocket pairs quite often here. |
