Vegas No Limit Games!

Anyone know what the Vegas no limit scene looks like right now during the WSOP? I'm wondering:

1. What big games, where, and with what frequency are the bigger NLHE games being spread (10/20 and up)? (I know Bellagio, but are there others?)
2. Are there any big NLHE only games that are being spread specifically because of the WSOP?
3. Are all poker rooms in Vegas non-smoking now?
4. Any must-see new poker rooms which are really awesome at which to play?

Answer to question 2 -- You will find that the RIO is running large NLHE games now.

Question 3- No, but none of the rooms that allow smoking will have the big games you are looking for.

Rio (the most), Bellagio, and Wynn. Though Wynn will not have it going all the time.

Yes, at the Rio. Normally, the Rio's poker room is a low limit craphole. Once the WSOP is over, it will be back ro normal.

3. Are all poker rooms in Vegas non-smoking now?

The following are the only smoking rooms in Vegas:
Boulder Station, El Cortez, Arizona Charlies West, Fiesta Henderson & Rancho, Jokers Wild (Henderson), and Sunset Station (graveyard only). During the WSOP, the Palms goes non-smoking, but it normally allows it. None of these rooms will have the NL games you are asking about. Unfortunately, non-smoking is the standard now. 4. Any must-see new poker rooms which are really awesome at which to play?

The Venetian. It is the most comfortable and nicest room in Las Vegas (if not the world). They usually don't get NL games above 5/10, though. Their standard is 2/5 with 5/10 run usually at night. They offer high LHE games, though, including the Big 4K/8K the other night.

The Palms does not change its smoking policy for the WSOP. The Palms smoking policy is NO-SMOKING except that in the low limit room you can smoke after 2AM until 8AM or 9AM (I don't remember which). The No-Limit Room has been non-smoking for over a year.

It did last year (which was the last time I played there). At the time, all employeers were saying that the non-smoking rule was only for the WSOP timeframe, and then it would go back to normal. Apparantly then, they never went back. Too bad.

Just spent the last week at the Rio. The cash game action is sick. Ten 2-5 NL games running. Three 5-10 NL games. Two or three 10-25 NL games. One 25-50 NL game and they had a 100-200 game with a 25 ante going over the weekend. Bring a sweatshirt, though, because the room is colder than my ex-wife.

Haha. You sound like the ESPN poker commentator...

It sounds like Rio is the place to be. Is 25-50 spread everyday? And how long is the waitlist typically for these games? Thanks!

Outside of the Rio, I've noticed NO difference in games or numbers.

They are spreading 25-50 everyday, it usually gets going mid-afternoon and goes late. The list didn't seem too long, (3-4) people. It may run 24 hours when they don't need to use the tables for the tournaments with the bigger fields.

PS. Norman Chad has been stealing my material for years.
