Something of particular interest to me is how their player security dept. is related to the rest of the organization.

b,

I am just trying to find out what the deal w/ Prima is since I kinda want to play NL there, but have heard a lot of horror stories about them ripping people off. PAA has the inside scoop, so I'm eager to hear the details so I can make a good decision.

First of all, I apologize for the delay in responding to your questions.

Microgaming was founded in 1994, but solely as an online casino at that time.

In 2003, they launched www.primapoker.com, and now Microgaming software powers over 40 card rooms!

Microgaming is audited by Price WaterhouseCoopers.

As far as corporate structure, Roger Raatgever is the CEO of Microgaming. I wish that we could provide you with more information on their corporate structure, but this is not our expertise.

I quote www.prnewswire.co.uk:

“As a founding member of eCOGRA, Microgaming is also at the forefront of an initiative focused on setting the highest standards in the gaming industry, most notably in the areas of fair gaming, responsible operator conduct and player protection.”

If there are players that feel they have been “ripped off”, they should contact eCOGRA, by using the form found here: http://www.ecogra.org/dispute.aspx?Page=3&OP=P

Or you may visit http://www.ecogra.com for more information.

Most of the poker sites/networks are not very willing to release sensitive information regarding their security departments (understandably so). I believe the Prima/Microgaming security department is run centrally, which provides a consistent and more robust system. Prima actually advertises their use and development of a proprietary system called Collusion Detection Software. Unfortunately the details of this system are not available to the general public.

Jay,

Are you familiar with the numerous high-profile high stakes players who have claimed to have been ripped off by Prima? Were you aware of what happened to Strassa at Prima? If so, what are your thoughts on these issues?

Thanks!

Hi Ryan,

PAA (the sponsor of this forum) is owned and operated by RakeBreak and RakeBacks. The sig you saw was probably posted in response to one of the "who is behind PAA threads". We wanted to be upfront and let everyone know (including advertisers) who owns PAA. Future responses will not inlcude sigs or site links unless they are relevant to the post.

Best Regards,

Justin

Justin the sig I saw is a few posts up above this. It is in response to prima/microgaming, not who owns this forum.

I have deep pockets and am always interested in advertising, but I need to understand the rules of the forum / posting.

Please clear this up for me.
