Thanks for posting this opinion here. It's representative of a pretty large segment of posters on these boards, many of whom may not speak up in this thread.

All,

The fate of this forum is still in limbo. The thing is, a lot of people here just don't like change. And, as seen above, some people think that creating new forums like this one will make the OOT they know and love worse. I'm curious, what alternatives would you guys like to see? Would you find a Food, Drink, Health, and Fitness forum desirable as a compromise, if that gets more support than just F&D? What about adding a big F&D thrust to TQZ, although TQZ seems to have turned into OOT2 when I wasn't looking?

The complaints about splitting OOT up have gone back (as far as I know) to the creation of the sports forum. I think sports is a distinct and popular enough topic that it deserved it's own forum. It's a pretty busy forum.

Despite my previous support for the new TQZ/Lounge and laughs or links forums, I believe they have made OOT (and 2+2) less interesting. It split up the content of OOT, which ended up removing a lot of potentially good OOT posts, and turned into it's own private film buff masturbation club. It also required users to click on yet another forum. I much prefer having one great home forum like OOT.

I like the idea of a temporary mod forum where you guys can go nuts about your favorite topic. This alcohol forum was a successful 'mod playground' forum, but it doesn't have enough traffic to carry it's own weight as a standalone permanent forum. It would also make OOT less interesting. OOT has been a great venue for the discussion of food and drink, there is no need for a separate forum.
