Borgata Poker Room Rate

Need some info, please.

Tried to book a room in August at the poker room rate at the Borgata as I've done many times before. The story I'm getting from the reservations people and the "customer care representative" makes it sound like the poker room rate is now only for tournament players... i was told to sign up for the Summer Open on-line to get the poker rate. I'm not playing in the JULY tournament.. I want a room in AUGUST. I think I made this pretty clear to the folks I spoke with.

I'm hoping I can call and get a poker rate for August after the July tournament is over, but the conversations I had made it sound like the poker rate is now only available if you're playing in a tournament.

Can anyone shed some light on this?
Perhaps there's someone in the poker room I should be talking to?

Not true...but what is true is that the rate can only be recieved through the floor in the poker room now...you go...you play...if they have a room they will give it to you. I don't really like the system at all but it is what it is

so there's no way to get the poker rate by calling ahead of time???

Just call the poker room and ask. I think the room wants to make sure that the rate is only given out to substantial players. They might not want to give a reservation so many weeks out, however.
