OT: buying IPOD with Stars, pros and cons

I am considering buying the IPOD off Stars for 26k FPP. Right now I am using my cell phone as my mp3 player but I think I want more space and the ability to play movies. Also, I really like that feature where you plug your IPOD into that radio station and play what's on your IPOD.

However, I am worried that I might not use it so much. Also, my cell phone is decent for listening. I remember the IPOD headphones have terrible sound drain too. Right now I am leaning towards getting it. My past purchases with FPP have included some shirts, the 35k (FPP) poker chips, and 2k WSOP seat.

So now you can convince or discourage me from getting it...

I recommend it. I have a Nano and have been pretty happy with it. Plus it's pretty good value for your points given that it's hard to find them cheaper than list price.

I got a 20gig iPod off stars, expecting to sell it on ebay as one of the better FPP:$ ratio. For whatever reason I decided to use it, and it's awesome. Definitely get it.

I'd get the 30gb one instead of the 60. I've got the 30gb and I've never needed anywhere near that much space. The 60gb one is also thicker and heavier if that matters to you.

Do you know how much heavier it is? That's a good point. I have no where near enough music to put 60 GB on it; let alone 30.

However, in the next couple years video media might become more popular? Does anybody know more about the video features of the IPOD? Do you like it?

I've watched a few TV shows on there and some video podcasts, but except on planes I can't think of too many times you would use it. The screen is just too small to be comfortable.

iPod earphones suck - spend $50 and get Sennheiser PX200 headphones. Great sound, great value, and they fold up so they're not a total pain to carry around..

I have an ipod video (not off stars) and I love it. I got a relative an ipod nano, she loves it. And 26k FPPs can hardly be a lot for you, no?
