Ram problem

I'm actually not overclocking or I'm not sure how I'm stressing my ram. I never had the heating problem before I installed the new ram which is odd I only installed one more stick bringing the total to 2 sticks. Anyways I spoke to a friend and he says I actually might have started overheating before and coincidentally it got worse when I installed the ram who knows...but I dont overclock because I dont know how so I don't know why its running hotter now.
