Default Newbie cash game players question

Standard party tournament. You are down to half the field, 12 minutes until the next level. You have a tight image with 8bb and you are dealt AT suited UTG 9 handed table. Push or fold? Thanks guys

I'm folding, even with antes (which is a question I have to find the M here).

Even with just 6 orbits left, ATs UTG isn't the hand I want to push with.

I assumed antes. If you think the table really observes you as having a tight image, I believe pushing is profitable here. Also, picking up the blinds gives us reraise fold equity in the blinds the next two hands.

I agree. It's just not strong enough. AJs, yes! Someone will more than likely look you up seeing that you are about to take a hit from the blinds the next couple of hands.

Pushing is probably +cEV. I'm not 100% sure though.

I'd feel really sick about pushing here. But sometimes you do get more fold equity pushing UTG before the blidns hit, than if you do what I would prefer, which is..

I'd rather push any two from the blinds, button, or CO. But you would need fold equity for that to happen (ie your stack needs to be able to hurt potential callers), and the table can't be aggressive to the point where you think you won't get a chance to steal.

[/ QUOTE ]It is +cEV w/ or w/o antes, just ran the numbers. Changed my mind on pushing w/o antes.
