$5/$10 NL..Max buy in $750
The table is a tad aggressive preflop but normal post flop. MP($1800) raises to $50. I ($770) flat call in the SB with KK. BB ($750) also calls. This is the 1st hand Ive seen him play in the 4-5 rounds hes been at the table. Pot $150. Flop T84 with 2 spades. I lead $100, BB calls and MP call also. Pot $450. Turn is another 4. I push all in. Thoughts? |

I really hate slowplaying KK PF, especially OOP, and especially when I'm not closing the action, but whatever.
Your line seems fine, though, especially since PFRer seems tight, and is likely to have an overpair, and the board is a bit drawy. |

Heres my thoughts on just calling with KK.
People raise with alot of hands that they'll never call a reraise with. AT, KJ, A4s...ect These same people will make a continuation bet almost every single time they raise preflop so I can call preflop and then check raise the CB and win alot more than I would by reraising preflop. Of course that opens up problems if they raised a suited connector and hit a big flop, but since the max buy in is 75BBs, I'll take that chance. I chose to lead the flop here instead of getting tricky because the BB also called and the flush draw was staring at me. Basically Im playing it just like a set (except I normally wouldnt push with a set since the board paired the turn). |

[/ QUOTE ] This is valid, but it's going to end up with you winning a small pot, or losing a big one, a lot of the time. I suppose that with 75BB stacks, you can stack overpairs, and TPTK pretty easy, but pairs will call a PF RR anyway, and when he's got TK, that means he can spike an A on you for cheap. And of course, we also have to worry about the BB taking a cheap flop. Also, since you're OOP, you're flying blind. OTB or last to act, I think the play is much better, although I still almost never do it, myself. I think post-flop is fine. |
