I called third hoping the Kings and Queens would get into a betting war on 4th/5th but no such luck.

On 6th my read on Seat 8 is that he is a semi-loose player prone to calling too much and not being aggressive enough.
33% VPIP 30% WTSD 75% W%SD - basically he pisses his money away calling too far most of the time.

At this point I know Seat 8 has trip eights, if he had the low he'd have jammed 5th but he didnt, he would have raised 3rd with aces which leaves me with the unpleasant scenario of trip eights/full house. Given my read I think he has trips on 6th.

I contemplated calling his raise on 7th but decided he jams here rather than 6th to make it less obvious. The guy has a brain, but is clearly not a good stud8 player.

Do I checkcall 7th as per against a good player, bet-call 7th against a mediocre player or jam against given my read?

I think the right move here is bet-call, he's going to call with trips but he's only going to raise with the full house.

Is my line here correct or am I a whackjob for thinking this hard about a low stakes hand? [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

Bet/call 7th. That's a reasonable value bet all day long.

i don't understand why you capped on the river when your read was that he made trips on sixth street... if he is passive as your stats say (i'm not sure what the reference points are, so i'll just take your word for it), then he wouldn't be 3-betting without being full

Raise 3rd. As played, try for a check-raise on 4th if you put your opponents on queens or kings.

Call his river 3-bet. If you are very confident in your read (trips on sixth and passive), you might even flat-call the river.

I never really understand the call on 3rd, start betting on 4th with trips. Either slow play it or don't. In High/Low, witht his many players 3rd is a must raise.
