Default I never know what to do here....

A hand from a $3R on stars. This situation comes up a lot and it seems that I never know what to do.
Villan didn’t do anything crazy, just seen him limp in EP a few times.
My thinking was that he either has AQ, KQ or a pocket pair…A9 maybe?. Is this ever a bluff??
I wanted to raised it to 3K, and fold to a push…but I didn’t want to blow half of my stack just to find out if he’s bluffing.

depends on villian. I normally fold vs passive people and float vs aggressive (or even raise)

Well Sir, it completely depends on who you're in the pot with, and what your opponent thinks of you (in the 3+r, probably nothing).

If he is the player who doesn't fold then don't try to convince him too.

I always see a lot of people blow off all their chips on Ak high.

You are either way behind trip 9's or a 4 to 1 dog if he has a Q...it's still a drawing hand.
