New Mattress
Well after sleeping on a [censored] mattress for a long time I've decided it's time to get a new mattress. I want to get a high end one this time so I'm looking to spend a little cash. I have a decent amount of neck and back pain so a new mattress will hopefully help out in that department.
After stopping by one store I seem to like the Kingsdown Platinum 32 mattress the best. It's $2599 for a queen. Anyone have any experience with this brand? Any other ones I should be looking at, I didn't really see any Serta or Sealy ones that I liked at that store, but I plan to check out some others. |

Re: New Mattress
I would suggest the mattress they use at the Bellagio. It's a Serta I think, and it is wonderful. You might be able to find what it is on their website.

Re: New Mattress
Utah and I just bought a Kingsdown(king size) 2 weeks ago. Utah has had a surgery on his back twice and continues to have problems but found this mattress to be the most comfortable. We shopped a lot-looking at Tempurpedic, Select comfort as well as Sertas etc...
We bought the middle line pillow top--the next bed up was not comfortable on his back. We also bought from a place that we have 60 days to try it, if we don't like it we can return it for another brand(equal value) Also we bought Tempurpedic pillows and would definately recommend them...no constant flipping of the pillows and no neck stiffness. They are really nice. Utah is very fidgety, usually with 4 down pillows, contamtly adjusting...now never needs to. |

Re: New Mattress
I just bought a queen Serta mattress, and it is PHENOMENAL. I went with the super euro top, which I believe is called the Exubereance, & it is ridiculously comfortable. But try many out in the showroom and see which you like best.
I also agree with Mrs. Utah about the foam Tempurpedic pillows -- absolutely has helped my neck & shoulders. |

Re: New Mattress
i got a king simmons beautyrest world class sofia mattress in february and it rocks
it's about 1500 for the king...it has individually pocketed coils and has latex memory foam, which is better than the swedish, slow-reacting, foam a good mattress is definitely a good buy |

Re: New Mattress
we got this mattress set last year : Canterbury by Verlo Mattress Factory
I think we paid roughly $2700 for the king size. as another poster already suggested, get a king size instead of a queen - it's not that much more money and it's a world of difference in terms of sleeping comfort, especially if you're a big dude (I'm 6'2" and 260) and require room to stretch out. |

Re: New Mattress
Ya after just discussing it with a few people I am going to get a King size.
The one I looked at today had the latex memory foam in it. |
