I'd like to thank the UFC for the events they put on. Hopefully there is one good fight at each event they put on. I however love to bet on these fights and tonight I hit the jackpot. I'd like to note that I would have bet more, but I was worried about the bet being canceled.
I waited patently for Chris Leben to face off against Jorge Rivera. The fight didn't last long and I was torn. I had money on this fight and I didn't want Chris Leben to win because I think he's a whiney bitch like Peyton Manning. But he was victorious. My bets on the fight: $752 on Chris Leben +115 $522 on Jorge Rivera +210 I stood to win $342.80 if Chris Leben won or $344.20 if Jorge Rivera won. Dude, this sounds very cool. You must explain more. Like I'm a 5 year old. [/ QUOTE ] +115 and +210 refer to the payout on the wager. You get + when one side of the bet is considered an underdog. They are paired so that one side will be +115 and the other would be -105 or something like that. A scalp is where you bet both sides of a sporting event to lock up a guaranteed profit. I'm happy when I find something that will give me a 2% return on my money for the event. This time around I was able to find two sports books that had a HUGE discrepancy in their thoughts on the fight with each book thinking the other fighter was an underdog. I bet both sides. You'd likely be better off searching google or digging through the sports betting forum for better explanations of sports betting. |

ok, that was my general understanding. I just didn't get how two books could be so far off. Guess it was just your lucky day. Thanks.
