The all in one mod has waffles cards included in it.

I was using the waffle card mods but you couldnt see your opponents hand at showdown with these...has this been fixed yet?

The combination of not being able to see mucked hand plus not being able to see UNmucked hands gives very little info on opponents!

I think the real reason is "rake free poker" is a marketing ploy to attract a clientele. Once they have enough players they start raking it and don't even have to fix the software... enjoy it while it lasts. Then again, I'm kind of a cynicist.

Apparently they are just doing it to direct traffic to their sports betting site.

[/ QUOTE ]

Right. I don't buy it.

They've said this will be in place for one year, I highly doubt they renig(sp?) on that. This company is so rich from sports that they could offer rake free poker for like pretty much ever and not be hurt.

Did they really say this (about the one year thing)? I was under the impression that they had said that there were no plans to ever charge rake...

I was told by management that they would have it in place for one year, then look over everything and decide how they would continue it.

yes, Matt was not the only one who was told they were at least going to try this for 1 year and then perhaps re-evaluate.

But it's not like they had a ton of poker-players generating excessive amounts of profit for them in their pre-100%RB days.

Some of us who are playing poker there are also making occasional sports-bets there. This encourages them that they are indeed HELPING their bottom line.

I'm sure that at least a couple of people whom they have brought in via their 100%RB strategy are betting HEAVILY on sports and/or other casino stuff there.

Even just 1 or 2 additional big sports-bettors for every 100 poker-only-ignore-everything-else-there players makes it a wildly profitable move for them I suspect.

I'm not a big sports-bettor. But I'm frequently swinging by their site and betting $10 on 2 or 3 different games just for kicks.

You can take 100% of the money they give you in rakeback...and bet it ALL on various sports games there.
Even if you are just betting randomly on baseball games you are going to get most of your money back.

So you are changing your 100% rakeback to just 93-95% rakeback (big deal, and it won't even be THAT bad if you have any clue about betting sports correctly) AND you are helping encourage WSEX to continue doing this past just 1 year.

I could do that, or I could just keep 100% of it. I gave them lots of action on Americal Idol this year, and probably will again next year, so I consider myself contributing.

I put $50 in on Friday and got my first $16 rake rebate on Monday. Since Monday, I've built up $30 and I've only been playing 2/4 Limit (2 or 3 tables) for about 2 hours. Very cool site. Here's an article about it: http://www.cardplayer.com/magazine/article/15446. I don't see myself playing anywhere else anymore...
