Villain here is pretty tight. Stats around 18/14/3 I believe. After the flop call his range is most likely AK or 66-QQ. What should I be doing on the turn?

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss AA as a possible hand here. UTG could be looking to ch/c, ch/push with AA. Even with that small note, betting the turn is a no-brainer. I might bet a bit smaller to try and induce the raise, but I don't see any problem with how you've played it.

There is ~130 in the pot and the eff. remaining stack is about 160. You want it all. I would either bet smaller here (like 1/2 pot) or check behind. The four is a major scare card, and you don't want to scare him off AA. If you bet small you may get a push from AAc. If you check, he may bluff the river and be pot committed. Either way, I think your bet is too big.

Its a good bet..might have made it a bit smaller to try to induce a bluff..the problem is that witht he board lookin like it is, he may be able to get away from tp

I just agree with the previous poster (edit: TheRailbirds mainly). It's a well played hand so far, personally i probably would bet less than 90$ on the turn too but there's my low-aggressivness-problem again.. but that's another story.
You have (practically) the nuts and if he called 40$ on the flop as a tight player he will check/call to the showdown, i would say. |
