Default The Oaks Card Room

Does anyone play here regularly? Do they spread medium limit games? If so which games and what days are best to play? I will play any game so if its stud or omaha that's cool. Let me know. Thanks.

Really good norcal room...
No NL except for Sunday tournaments, Wed night limit tournaments.
Lots of live action, limits above accurate, good cheap food, etc etc.
I used to go there alot before I left the state, I sure do miss the oaks...

Has the games you want. Weekdays can be tight. Nice room, no complaints, other than that the players are better than those at Casino San Pablo.

I play there a couple times a week. At least 1-3 times/ week there is a must move 15/30 game. Also, 30/60 on Tuesday and Friday at 1pm. It runs until it breaks. There are some good regulars in the 15 game, but the game is usually great. I think they also run 9/18 Omaha Hi Lo on Fridays?

30/60 On Tuesdays. I think I will go check it out today. Thanks for the posts. By the way I imagine there may be a long list since there is probably only one game going. Do they allow you to call in for the 15 & 30 games?

There is also an eminently beatable 4/8 Omaha8 game with an half kill that runs every day. I like the room. it has a good old school vibe.

I'd like to hear more of your opinion of the 15/30 and 6/12 games.

Kaneloc- yes, you can call in for the 30 game. The 15, it probably depends on who answers the phone. Waits are never more than 30 min or so to get into the 15, especially if the must move is running. The wait for the 30 is all over the place.

Warren- the 6/12 there is extremely soft. Typical loose passive low limit game with the occasional LAG gambooler thrown in.
The 15 is a great game also. There are alot of regulars in the game, and a couple are decent hand reading/thinking LAG's. There are often 1-2 TAG 2+2'rs in the game.....and then there are no shortage of retards who couldnt beat the Party .50 game. All of the props are extremely weak tight straightforward.
Also, forgot to mention. The 15 game will often play with OVERS buttons on days when the 30 is not running. There are usually at least 4-5 people playing OVERS and sometimes the whole table late on Thurs/Fri/Sat night.
