Default ($27 PS) AK facing a raise 7 handed at 100/200

PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t200 (7 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

UTG (t2270)
UTG+1 (t1635)
Hero (t2470)
CO (t1160)
Button (t1600)
SB (t380)
BB (t3985)

Preflop: Hero is in MP1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
<font color="red">UTG raises to t1000</font>, <font color="gray">UTG+1 folds</font>, <font color="red">Hero ???</font>

This is only the 1st hand of 100/200 so there's still a fair bit of time before I'm desperate given that I have ~13BBs. I put him on a fairly tight range of 99+, AJ+. Should I throw this away as I'm unlikely to have a significant edge if at all? Should I call leaving myself open to the remaining four players to act and see if I can spike an A/K or should I come over the top expecting him to call given that hes already committed over 60% of his stack?

Push...you still have some chips left if you lose your 70/30 when he calls with AQ-AT

I would consider a fold more because there's no way to get him off his hand...you'll probably be racing with TT/JJ. But you do have AK with high blinds.
I think it depends on if you feel like racing, which, at this point, wouldn't be that bad. Also, the chance of going up against AQ makes it worth it.
Really could go either way.

Has he raised this much before? (ie at 50/100 did he raise to 600?)

This is really read dependent, but I would probably just push...if this guy's a rock, there's no need to race with such a healthy stack....so as usual it depends, but most of the time pushing is best. IOW, folding would be the exception, not the rule.

Why so confident? Its not that trivial that one should push in this spot is it?

This is a fold. You are not in bad shape yet. In this hand you
are often way behind or in a 50/50 situation. He is not going to fold. He has 77-JJ, perhaps a higher pp, but i dont think soo. Had his raise been smaller about 500-600, i ll think i would push here, because u have some FE.
