Re: Your turn line for this draw please
[ QUOTE ]
I like c-c or c-r better than leading because I think leading will induce him to bluff raise too often. [/ QUOTE ]If you c/c here, would you c/c a blank river? |

Re: Your turn line for this draw please
Hi all, I have a quick question about this hand. I have just now started taking occasional shots at 5/10 and would like some help with this one
Why are you check-calling that flop? I would think that you have almost no implied odds with the flush considering its a low one and very visible. I can see floating if you had position but being oop makes a float pretty hard to pull off. When people donk bet a turn like that I raise with anything and hope to shut them down. So leading out on the turn what are you hoping for? If he raises you're out, if he calls you have to either hit the flush or another 5 or 6 (and even that could be a bad thing depending on his cards) but if the river blanks you're left trying to bluff at a big pot oop. Check-calling turn doesn't seem too great either because you have no implied odds and a big pot oop. If he has air, you're good but overall this seems -ev from beginning to end. |

I like a lead.
If you c-c, can you move him off of Jx if you bet a river K or 8? What about a club? |

Smackin,
In these highly aggressive games, It is quite likely that HEK has the best hand. Combined with his flush draw, this is a clear call, even OOP. Good luck, mn. |

Re: Your turn line for this draw please
I think that you should play this hand more aggressively on the flop. Lead or check-raise the flop.
Turn as played you basically have to bet. As to what amount I think that is fairly brainless. Whatever your standard bet amount is. |

Re: Your turn line for this draw please
HEK,
I'm curious as to why you didn't lead the flop. Presumably you would lead with wide range here. The flop c/c makes this more difficult I think. On the turn if he is the type to bluff a lead, then check. If he's more passive, then bet out. Your description of him as a straightforward tag would suggest betting out is better, no? Regards, Fin |

Re: Your turn line for this draw please
Finwe, do you see why NEVER c/c:ing a flushdraw here can be very exploitable?

Stack sizes are a bit akward for a checkraise I think. [/ QUOTE ] Explain. I think a flop lead or CR would have been the way to go. As played, I think you should lead the turn and fold to a large raise, but call ones you're getting odds with. |

Re: Your turn line for this draw please
Honestly I think that while the CR is awkward, the other options suck so badly that I would do it anyways. I think a lead out gets bluffed-raised often, and c/c, c/c twice on this board will induce a bluff so often on river that I'm uncomfortable folding a low blank.

Requin -
This is an easy river fold if we c/c 3 times and we don't improve beyond a pair of 6s. |
