im playing full tables and am a winning player, i am just wondering the types of downswings winning players might see

[/ QUOTE ]

At 25nl full ring I would estimate 99% of downswings are attributed to poor play.

yea i know i've got some problems, but i'm constantly trying to improve and i honestly feel like just from reading these forums and some books i'm better than the average NL2 player, so i'm hoping to even it out soon.

I'm afraid I can't answer your original question. But if you keep that attitude you will become a winning player if you aren't already.

I 4 table 6 max 50NL and am currently in a 4 buy-in downswing over 2k hands and I can say with upmost certainty that my downswing is not attributed to bad play.

well i would be even if the guy called me w/out odds to the river w/ flush draw to suck out my set i bet on every street and i was all in preflop AA and lost to K4 so thats two buy ins right there, unavoidable losses i wouldn't have played differently

That is understandable, 6 Max has more variance than full ring. I just had a 9 buy-in downswing a couple of weeks ago and I was playing at the absolute worst my B+ game.

Also, I am currently on a 15+ buy-in upswing. 6-Max's swings are pretty wild.

Guys just cause you have a set or aces doesn't mean you played the hand correctly. Not being mean, just saying work on improving your game, looking at hands objectively even if you won, trying to improve.
