How should I play the turn?
The setting: I was playing 2-5 nolimit at a cardroom where I play alot. We were 9 handed, I was in the 8 seat and bought in for $300. The 1 seat was a man I had never seen before who had probably $3000 (villian). His wife was in the 3 seat. All the other stacks were between $150 and $500. Two regulars were to my right and they did not know the villian. He had cracked AA to win a hugh pot with 98 making two pair. I had only been there about 45 minutes.
The hand: I am second to act with $315 and Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG folds. I raise to $20. 9 seat folds. 1 seat calls. 4 seat calls. All others fold. $67 in the pot.
Flop comes T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. I bet $75. My thought was to drive out drawing hands and see if someone had made a pair. 1 set calls. 4 set folds.
The turn is J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. What should do I do? I have $225 left, there is $215 in the pot and I am pretty sure that he will bet if I check. I have an over pair and an up-and-down straight draw. The smooth call made me think he had a set or 2 pair but A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] is a definite possibility. In this game a hand like A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] is possible too.
