Perry Friedman chewed me out for a good 15 minutes on FullTilt once at a 2/4 table just for raising as the bring-in hand.

[/ QUOTE ]

i have played 2/4 nl w/ perry, and he is a huge table coach.

[/ QUOTE ]

never heard of him. sounds like a tool.

[/ QUOTE ]

Isn't that that one guy that was in an wsop event Final tabla and had the hand puppets (well not puppets, but faces on his hand, you know what i mean) that taked to the hole card cameras? Sounded like a nice guy.

I played with Mike
Sexston at aussie millions 2 years ago...flash foward to aussie millions this year, at the party that party poker throws for the players, I gave him the snub, just because I felt like being a complete douchebag. He's really a nice guy though, so when I win a wpt event I'll be the one that doesn;t toast him at the end just to repeat

I played with Men the Master at Mandalay Bay last month and he is clearly the master of dealer abuse.

[/ QUOTE ]

Dealers are used to him, though. He's harmless. Mandalay was the first time I dealt to Men and he was alright with me. He had his stares after he lost a big hand, and the other stuff you'd expect, but overall, again, harmless.

Chris Gregorian, on the other hand, is too busy worrying about every little nuance the dealers do instead of playing his cards and then constantly getting his money in with the worst of it and sucking out. Total a-hole to dealers for no reason. Needs to mind his own f'n business.

[/ QUOTE ]

You mean he thinks it's the dealer's fault when he loses a big hand? In my book anyone who blames the dealer for "luck" is a certified idiot, even moreso for a pro who should no better.

ON a related note, I'm interested how often as a dealer do you get people who blame the dealer for bad beats/coolers/whatever? I'm <21 so I've never stepped foot in a casino

Default I could not disagree anymore about Matt

[ QUOTE ]

i think the most annoying pro is Matt Glantz. If he beats you a pot, he never shuts up about it. If you beat him a pot, same thing. Guy never lends money either.

[/ QUOTE ]

Matt is a nice guy and a fun guy to have at a poker table with you. As for his lending practices, that seems pretty irrelevant.

On a side note, Matt is a very underrated cash game and tourney player. He may not be known in the TV world of poker but those in the "know" know of him.

Other name pros I've played with have included Chip Jett (2004 PPM), Karina Jett (2005 PPM), Huck Seed, Tom McEvoy, Eric Brenes, Ron Rose and Johnny Chan.

o rly?

[/ QUOTE ]

You are kidding, right?

[/ QUOTE ]

Huh?
Not sure why you think I would be kidding.

Kidding about whether I actually played with him or kidding about whether he was pleasant to play with?

I was at the same table as Johnny Chan for the main-event last year. Played with him for about 10 hours or so. I busted out about 10 minutes before he did.

He was reasonably pleasant to play with. Made a couple of jokes at the table. I made some small-talk with him just to get him chatting a little bit (what do you think about how big the main-event has gotten? congrats on winning the 10th bracelet. stuff like that).

He might have a rep in some circles.
But I found him to be reasonably easy-going and pleasant to play with.

Also - if you saw on ESPN's main-event coverage (near the beginning of the episode) some retard-noob on his cell-phone being laughed at by the announcers because he was saying, "Johnny Chan is at my table"....that retard-noob was me (hence my title).

[/ QUOTE ]

No Bob, I knew you played with Chan...

I was referring to the guy who said O RLY to your post wondering if he believed you.

Saw you on t.v. and everything...

microbob,

I was just poking fun at your title.

[/ QUOTE ]

oh, ok.

As I said in another thread recently, "I'm a little slow sometimes."

I get asked about my title semi-frequently anyway.

[/ QUOTE ]

Add me to the slowness as well, Gilbert.

It's probably why I've been losing at poker lately.

Is this near the beginning of the FIRST ep? Or a later one?

[/ QUOTE ]

It's at the beginning of the first episode for the main-event. Maybe 3-5 minutes in.

They play this super-duper dramatic music at the opening that THIS is the main-event.
Then Lon and Norm are on the screen welcoming you to THE MAIN EVENT.
Then they cut to shots of the playing-area and almost right-away have a shot of "There's Johnny Chan looking for his 3rd main-event title" (or something like that) then me on my cell-phone telling my guy who was updating my blog that Chan was at my table.
Then Lon and Norm laughing at me looking like a total idiot.

FWIW - Chan didn't arrive until about 45 minutes into the event. I was calling my blog guy with my first update to say, "Stole a few blinds, already up to $11.5k in the first level. Blah blah blah. Oh, and (in a 'whoop-dee-doo' kind of way) Johnny chan is at my table."
Around then I noticed the damn ESPN camera pointing at me and I immediately knew they were going to use that AND it wasn't going to be pretty.

I haven't caught that episode in quite awhile though.

My GF laughed her ass off when she saw it on one of the re-runs.

I have played with Matthew Hilger in a 1 table satellite at the series last year. Really nice guy. Also in the Razz event last year I played with Hoyt Corkins, Billy Baxter and Freddy Deeb (who knocked me out).

I must say thet every pro I have played with has been really nice.

Easy answer is Vince Burgio. Not that he is loud or obnoxious, but he is as nitty as they come and perpetually disgruntled. Very unpleasant to play with.

[/ QUOTE ]

I've played with Vince in 4 different tourneys and he seemed pretty nice everytime. He didn't seem disgruntled at all. He sure is tight though.

[/ QUOTE ]

My 2 experiences were cash game only. I would imagine he is not a dealer's best friend.

Last year during one of the Stud/8 events on break I am talking to the other guys I am there with. My one friend says he has a Full Tilt guy on his table, he comments "he is the biggest table captain [censored]." I of course want to see the [censored] I walk over to his table.......Perry Friedman.
