Button is 2+2ish PF meaning he likes to steal a lot when opening OTB, postflop he's not that good. So some might say he's 2+2ish altogether.

I defend with A5o...good so far?
Flop is Q76r, I check/call planning to donk most turns.

Good/meh/stupid/need a better read?

I'm curious what others have to say here, too. I'd actually thing about folding preflop and folding that flop. A good chunk of his range has you dominated.

I think folding PF is a mistake. I just might be a puss and give up on the flop. If I decided to fight for this flop, I think I'd c/r, but that seems kind of stupid.

I use that line semi-frequently against decent opponents. Basically, I'm looking for drawless flops with a K or Q. If raised on the turn then it's an easy fold. Also, if I fold on the turn then I will play my next flopped monster the same way.

I'm at work, so I can't fire up the stove, but I'm curious what our equity looks like. Even if it doesn't look all that bad, we have to take into account that if we win, it's apt to be a small pot, but if we lose, it's apt to be bigger. On top of that, we're OOP. A6, A7, A8, and I start to like things a little more. I'll grant that A5 is borderline for me. Playing A2 just isn't very appealing to me.

Wookie, if we give Villain a solid 33% button opening range then A5o has around ~45% equity. I definitely like playing here, but reraising against a weakish 2+2er is also good from time to time because you can be very sure of what's going on postflop, and these players tend to fold outright quite a bit.

Yeah, I guess that's good enough to play. You still have to be pretty darn good postflop to want to play this OOP, however, so I don't think that folding is a big mistake.

Given that you're playing, the decision between a 3bet and a fold is a close one. You may want to mix it up some.
