Default B&M in Dallas Area?

I have a business trip next week to Dallas and will have a few free nights. Does anyone know of any casinos in the area or other types of cardrooms (legal - not asking for underground)?

Your closest option is Winstar Casino, just over the TX/OK border.

Only other real option is Shreveport/Lake Charles, which is a much longer drive. From Dallas to Winstar will take between 1 hour and 1:45 depending on where you are in Dallas. Also note that you should NOT get on highway 121 during rush hour... If you are staying downtown, the easiest way to get there will be to go straight up I35. Winstar is at exit 1 on the OK border, so you can't miss it.

Thanks. I'm staying in the Park Cities area, which I believe is north of downtown. I may or may not go to Winstar depending on whether I'm up for the drive (considering 8am meetings the next day).

I lived in Oklahoma City for a few years and I heard they've set up quite a few B&M places in OK. OKC is about 3 hours up the road from Dallas, not sure where all the B&M places are, though.

There are a multitude of underground cardrooms in the Dallas area that are set up and operated just like those in casinos - most offer free food and drink - many hold tournaments on designated days/evenings - I know of three or four close to the Park Cities - usual game is $1/2 NL - could even direct you to a wild $2/5 PL Omaha game if that's your cup of tea - all you need is an introduction from a known player and directions

i'm in highland park for the summer and was wondering about these underground rooms. i've played at winstar a couple times, usually a limit player but wouldn't mind playing some NL during the week if at all possible. how do i get into these card rooms?

You aren't really supposed to discuss the specifics, but they do exist. You pretty much have to find someone who knows them.

If anyone has a couple of $1 chips from any of these clubs, or several of them, to sell, please pm me. Thanks.
