Sigh. I'll tell you the history of this thread. At the time there was a lot of crap threads in OOT laughing at other people's misfortune. I was in a bad mood at the time, and posted a thread with a simple question, something like if OOT believed people were basically good or basically evil. Not in the religious sense, just in the common-sense sense. My question was when people are happy about other people's misfortune, whether it's only because there's a component of self-interest in it. It promptly got moved to SMP.

So without thinking I tried to "reduce" the question to its simplest form. This thread was the result. I wasn't used to making threads and I screwed up. I got a * . Everyone was satisfied.

No, it wasn't a good thread. Yes, it was mildly informative, at least to me. I was pleasantly surprised by the results.

I would point out that it's kind of moronic to bump this thread to point out what a bad thread it is.
