Default Shortstacked, Late, Facing a Raise with a Marginal Hand - +cEV? +$EV?

$33NL, 21 remaining.

Villain is CL and has been very agressive. His raising range here is any two, his calling range isn't quite as clear, but he hasn't folded to a reraise yet (but hasn't shown down 52o either).

well, you have pretty much zero fold equity here. If you think his range is that big, im assuming A2o is ahead of that range. So a push is probably EV+. The other alternative is folding and preserving your chips to control the action.

[/ QUOTE ]I posted this because I want more than assumptions and probably's.

What do we think a standard calling range is here? Top 45%?

Can someone mathematically inclined decide if that's +EV?

Basically, am I looking for too small an edge here?

He is getting 2.5:1 to call your push, why would he fold? You are a 55% favorite against any 2 and are getting 3:2 on your money.

Edited to say 2.5:1

you've got about 7.5bb left, if you are the first one in the pot, you have plenty of fold equity... you probably can't make this guy fold, and A2 is a weak hand. fold here and find a spot where you're first in, your hand doesnt have to be strong.

I think it's probably more +ev to find a better place to put your chips in. Your probably ahead but I'd be willing to bet you can find a better place to do it.

Nah, coinflip's good enough, and thats about what we have if he has anything but a pair or an ace. We have 7.5bb, I didn't see what level but if its on Stars and there are antes our M is like 3. Time to gambool.

We're sitting to the left of a guy raising any 2 and a coinflip is the best we can do in the next 3 orbits? I'd wait for a better spot.

I agree that villain's probably pushing any 2 here. I also think he's calling your push with any 2. Your hand is a favorite against his range, so I'm willing to push and race. It's about as +EV as stealing the blinds is, but with much greater variance.
