Re: 44 Beers in 12 Hours?
Inn on Wyte ( a bar/hotel) in Edmonton used to offer the 40 beer challenge back in the 70's...drink 40 beers before closing, the tab was on them...no spilling/puking etc. Bathroom breaks were OK.
It was done several times. |

Re: 44 Beers in 12 Hours?
That's a pretty sweet deal. I'm suprised they'd advertise a deal like that. I figured it would make every alcoholic in town come there every night.

Is the contestant allowed any other substances during this time?

Re: 44 Beers in 12 Hours?
i'm guessing the easiest way to do this would be by shotgunning beers. the fizz will make you puke all it up immediately.

Re: 44 Beers in 12 Hours?
I drank 7 beers in one hour tonight, I am sure I could keep that pace for a few hours.

Re: 44 Beers in 12 Hours?
These bets are a horrible idea. Check out any good Blood Alcohol Content website and you'll see that even a 260 lb individual is going to have a blood alcohol level past .40 which is a level consistent with likely death.
Why anyone would risk their life or suggest that their friend risk their life over money is beyond me. I've heard of people dying from the 21 drinks for their 21st birthday promotion at bars. 44 drinks is beyond ridiculous. If someone can do it, big deal, if they can't they are risking severe brain damage or death. |

Re: 44 Beers in 12 Hours?
[ QUOTE ]
So me and a few friends are putting up some money in order to get my other friend to do a prank monkey stunt of sorts. It's not really a bet, cause if our friend loses and can't do it, he owes us nothing, we just see a free show. If he can do "it" however, he wins the money. The "it" is 44 beers in a 12-hour span. He can pace himself however he'd like and is allowed to puke. Can it be done? [/ QUOTE ] i like how people refuse to understand how the body breaks down alcohol |
