Default Logitech mx1000 and AHK scripts

I just purchased a MX1000 mouse. I am currently using the Logitech Setpoint software. It seems that I can not access the special buttons on the mouse with scripts. Do I need to turn off setpoint to access the other buttons?

You mean "Mouse25" or whatever doesn't register? What if you map the button to some other key (F11, or whatever) and then map F11 to a hotkey?

That's how I do it. Only setback is that Logitech Setpoint is a lousy written software, and at times it may reset the bindings and you have to redo them.
