Default 50NL Villian leads out on 3 flush board, I have TPTK

Villian is 25/15/2

What do I do in pots like these?? I have been in this situation a few times, with tptk on 3 flush board. Am I going to far to "protect" my hand? I hate spewing chips with only a pair. Is pushing the turn retarted after the K comes?

Call flop bet.
Lead non-club turn.
Fold to a raise.

i'm usually just calling on the flop here. if i elected to raise the flop like you did (a play i make sometimes), i'm checking behind on the turn with the intention of calling a smallish bet on the river.

*grunch*

I dont mind the flop raise, its quite likely that your ahead at this point. I would probably raise to 12 dollars instead of 9; pot sized bet;~6+3 (from villain bet) + 3 (from your call) = 12 right?

When he calls you I put him on a queen or better, flush draw, a possible small flush. So on the turn the only thing that you beat is the flush draw and queen, and you will only get called when your beat. I would check it and see a river, if villain bets a 4 card flush river I'm folding. If the river is save and villain checks again I would fire a value bet.

a pot-sized raise on the flop would be to $14.75:

(3)(3) + 5.75 = 14.75

and i think if you make a raise like that on the flop, you should pretty much be shutting down after you do so. if you bet/raise again, you're on the verge of committing your whole stack with just TPTK.
