Our neighbors have a huge dobermen and it actually chased our former roommate down the corrider...he was hanging off the balacony totally freaked out. The dog seems to be hyper aggresive etc...well i've never been afraid of dogs so once when the guy was walking it I walked over and let it smell my hand started petting it etc...it jumped on me etc...but was friendly.

Couple a days later it saw my and my roommate coming out of the elevator and bolted for us barking like a mutherfker at full speed. My roommate turned to stone...but i knew it name so i just yelled out KODY SIT!
and the [censored] dog stopped in its tracks and sat its ass down...i called him over and petted him etc.

I think my roommate pissed his pants.

The owner said that she couldn't understand why it had attacked my mom's dog, coz it had never done anything of the sort before.

Yea, heard the same story from all 3 owners of dogs that have attacked me. "He's never done anything before, he's the best dog I've ever known". Blah blah blah.

All dogs should thought of as dangerous rabid animals and shot on sight.

I hate dogs.

Beforehand, and even as a kid, I was never afraid of any dog. But now - I think twice before approaching a big dog. That kind of sucks!

not sure if you know this, but you have a legal right to shoot the dog if it attacks you or a family member again. i recommend an attempted leg shot if it happens again and a permanent limp should teach the owner to stop letting his dog attack people.

Next time just calmly and assertively grab the dog by the neck and force him to the ground into a submissive position(on his side or back). Squeeze the neck a couple times(not hard enough to choke but firmly) and then let him up. You should no longer have any problems with aggression from the dog.
