$11 88 w/ Top set slowplay vs 3 villains and 2 flush
Poker Room skin
No-Limit Holdem Tournament Blinds: t15/t30 10 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: t1200 UTG+1: t470 Hero: t1500 MP1: t2210 MP2: t1315 MP3: t2030 CO: t1320 Button: t1580 SB: t1930 BB: t1445 Pre-flop: (10 players) Hero is UTG+2 with 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, Hero calls, MP1 folds, MP2 raises to t200, 2 folds, Button calls, SB calls, BB folds, UTG+1 calls, Hero calls. I had 5:1 pot odds and I figured very good implied odds with the Big Raise and 3 limpers. Since it's Level 2 is it too early to call off ~1/7 of my stack for a set even with these odds? Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (t1030, 5 players) SB checks, UTG+1 is all-in t270, Hero ??? The preflop raiser is going to act immediately after me. I put him on an overpair with such a big raise preflop and he'll probably come over the top of the short stack's all-in. Should I slowplay with the two diamonds with the button remaining after the preflop raiser? I don't think two diamonds will be in Button's hand with a big preflop raise. Probably mid-PP for the Button. |

Re: $11 88 w/ Top set slowplay vs 3 villains and 2 flush
I think the preflop call is a little thin, and I'd probably fold. That said, I think it's resonably close with that many limpers and you closing the action here.
Theres a lot in the pot already, and theres no way the original raiser will lay down an overpair to your push here. I shove and make it as expensive as possible for anyone drawing. |
