Re: POLL: Greatest Stand-Up Comedian of All-Time
Almost everyone on the OP's list sucks. Old Cosby is gold, however.
Good modern comedians = Mitch Hedberg, Zack Galafrinakas, Brian Posehn, Dave Chappelle, Dave Attell, other misc |

Dane Cook sucks, why is he even on the list? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, he's absolutely terrible. I have no idea how anybody likes him. |

Re: POLL: Greatest Stand-Up Comedian of All-Time
I voted for Carlin. I've seen him twice live, about 5-6 years apart. It was the exact same act, and just as funny the second time as it was the first.
Lewis Black was very funny as well, but Carlin is classic. Joe |

Redd Foxx for the win. [/ QUOTE ] Redd Foxx is the worst stand-up comic I've ever heard. I've spoken to more than one person who has seen him live, and they agree. Note that I loved him in "Sanford" and "Harlem Nights". I also liked him in "Royal Family", or whatever that sitcom was called that he was doing when he died. Kinison was my favorite, but I think Carlin's body of work would have to give him the "best" title. Unless Andrew Dice Clay selling out stadiums counts for something. |
