Default Top pair on scary river-call this?

MP2 just sat down, so no reads.
UTG is a bit loose (28:5:.06 or so after less than 40 hands. Is this worth a call, given the size of the pot, after the action on the turn?

Oh, man, there's not much to hope for, is there? Basically, with the exception of 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] X [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], draws that improved on the turn also improved on the river. You need for MP2 and UTG both to be holding something, somehow, that isn't two pair or better.

Or you need to make a play and hope to represent the straight, but that seems like an expensive venture against two opponents, and my guess is that MP2 isn't folding two pair, and for that matter, UTG might not either.

Although it sucks, folding seems like the sensible play to me here. I guess you could be up against nothing better than Kx, but it seems very optimistic to think that's all that's going on.

Anyone raise this turn?
We could get a free showdown, if nothing else...

It's hard to think of a Queen that MP2 could have other than QJ, and you would think he'd c/r the turn with that. Does KQ, QT, AQ, Q9 bet that turn? Does KJ? The only hands I can think of are T9, K9, KT. I would call here because MP2's play here is a bit fishy and I'd want to look him up.

I would support raising the turn for a possible free showdown. The pot is large and you want to see a showdown. Even if you're up against K9 getting a T to fold gives you 2 more outs. You've obviously hoping for a free showdown but getting 3bet on the turn lets you know you MUST improve to win.
