First, understand that you don't have to beat a table full of poor players by yourself. If you see it as your role to take their money, you'll play too many hands.
Second, tighten up out of position. Third, if you can limp with hands that like company when in position, do so, but be disciplined and fold when the flop misses you. Don't speculate past the flop. Fourth, value bet when you have the nuts. Fifth, be patient. If you're playing against calling stations, don't try to raise them out of the pot--value bet your good hands and don't try to bluff. If you're playing against seemingly mindlessly aggressive players, realize that their style of play becomes correct when you get to 4-5 handed. |
