Re: Microquesters -- Document Your Progress, Setbacks
[ QUOTE ]
Never stated goals, good place to start Broll right now is ~300 By the end of the spring symester next year, I want to be playing empire 2/4 with rakeback Also, I want to be playing decent NL, looks like HEFAP is no longer the last poker book I ever purchase. Just recovered from 1000 hand, 110BB downswing. Still getting pwned at $10 Paradise NL, I think I'm gonna stop messing around with NL until I have rakeback EDIT - Also, become a complete 6max pimp. I <3 it when the games become shorthanded, and I get hard-ons from open raising, so I think I'll be fine EDIT2 - Though I only play 2 tables, and that's the way it's gonna stay (unless I ever go on mindless 4 table party .5/1 binges), I want to get another monitor, my laptop screen is on its highest resolution, still has nasty overlap, want to get another monitor and become a no overlap monster EDIT3 - Do all this while maintaining a 3+ GPA at my school [/ QUOTE ] Broll right now has been up alot, but my [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] for spending cash has me down to ~600... so thats good Still don't have HEFAP... I'm not playing 2/4 yet... in fact I tried 1/2 and getting pimpsmacked, combination of bad cards and bad play, having problems distinguishing the two. I think I'm a 6max/5max pimp, for the limit games I play, its pretty much exclusively short handed I'm meh at NL so far, I wanted to ditch limit entirely, but after playing this past week of exclusively NL/NL SnG's, I remembered I needs my limit sooo much Still play 2 tables, occasionally 3. Getting a beefy 1600x1200 monitor soon with my next paycheck I do have a 3+ GPA so far at the end of my second year |

[ QUOTE ] 2004: Started with 50 bucks in January. Feburary...gone. 50 more in March....gone in April. 50 more in May...gone in August. Hey I made it more than one month. Bought some books and started studying. September, signed up with Pacific and got a free $10. Ran it up to $100 at the nanos. Almost even. 2005: Won $2.50 MTT at pacific for a whopping $256. Out of the red now. I've learned a lot from my studying and this board, so I decide to start whoring. Feburary: $100 at paradise for the granny bonus(I know, not enough, but a start). 6bb/100 at .10/.20 for 6K hands, 4.5bb/100 at .25/.50 for 12K hands, and I'm off to party and skins, and Absolute, and cryptos, and prima skins, and a few casino bonuses. I'd like to start playing 2/4 now. Just need to plug some leaks in my 4th and 5th street game. I'm a lot more confident in my pokering, but still have a lot to go. My goal is to beat 2/4 in 12 months (Aug 2006) for at least 2.5bb/100. [/ QUOTE ] I guess I'm doing OK. Wow, that post was like a blast from the past. Where the heck did most of those guys go anyway? [/ QUOTE ] some of us did have our hiatuses (hiatusi?)... |

[/ QUOTE ] i'm coming out of mine.. heh.. entity finally blew past me. i kept up with him while i was playing for a bit. i'll catch his stakes again next time I'm between contracts. I'm getting back into posting and the game now tho. i stopped at 4-tabling 5/10 6max. more so than stakes, there's just an inherent grasp of the higher level 6max games that i want to get by this year's end.. whether it still be at 5/10 or at 10/20 or 30/60. |
