Default 25/50 minimizing risk

7-handed. Two folds to me with 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and I make it 200 with 7000 behind. Next guy calls and covers, and everyone else folds. Villain is slightly loose preflop but very aggressive postflop.

Flop 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] with 475 in the pot.

I check, planning to just fold. I don't want to bother messing around on this flop with a very aggressive player behind, since my hand obviously can't take any heat and has no redraws. He surprisingly checks behind. Maybe he suspected a trap?

Turn 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] with 475 in the pot.

I check. He bets 250. Now I'm thinking that I have the best hand. I don't see him checking through a T on the flop, and there shouldn't be any reason for him to bet one pair here, unless he's trying to protect against overcards. I suppose that's possible, but I still think I'm ahead unless he has a 5. The only problem is that my hand is really marginal and I'm not sure I want to call down two streets on a really dangerous board, since he can easily outdraw me on the river with any hand I'm beating now. What's my move?

I let it go with how you played it. Pretty much everything beats you and even if he ahs KJ he has 6 outs. Just find a better spot.

If I had strong read as you have, I`d raise. He probably is weak like you suspected and has to fold many one pair hands that have you beat. Remember, you read that he doesnt have the 10 (unless he was trapping with the made str8).
