One card straights suck...
Only been at the table a few orbits, haven't seen the Villain do anything out of line. I've seen AA, QQ already, so I've taken down a few pots preflop with big reraises; I've also shown down a flopped flush that lost to the CO calling me down all the way with the nut flush. Not sure if any of that matters. Stats aren't over a big enough sample size to mean anything.
Party Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $34.50 Hero: $26.25 CO: $38.60 Button: $32.65 SB: $5.85 BB: $23.45 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG folds, Hero raises to $1, 3 folds, BB calls. Flop: 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($2.1, 2 players) BB checks, Hero bets $1.5, BB calls. Turn: J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($5.1, 2 players) BB checks, Hero bets $4, BB raises all-in $20.95, Hero...? How often is this KQ? Its almost always at least a naked Q, isnt it? If its often a split pot, folding here can't be a huge mistake, can it? Is this thinking weak/tight? |

Re: One card straights suck...
Almost never, because he called your bet on the flop. Unless he is a complete donk (which you claim he's not).
I put him on the flop with a pair, and accidently caught a Q high straight on the turn. IHMO call this one |

Re: One card straights suck...
I will never fold this. If he has KQ all you need to do is suckout.
