Default Using Dataming information

Hey everyone

I've been using Pokeroffice to Datamine some microlimit NL tables. I'm wondering, how many hands would it take to accurately judge a persons style or play type. Usually I manage to grab about 30 hands on a person before they either bust out or leave the table.

Would 30 hands be sufficient to judge a persons play style, or would more hands be needed?

Thanks

Hitsu

P.S: If anyone knows how to use PO to its best ability, let me know cause i'm still trying to get used to everything.

I say 'bah' to stats. But I'm in the minority, and I didn't answer your question.

30 hands isn't near enough. I don't know how much is enough, but it's a lot more than just observing your opponent's play. Which is why I say 'bah' to stats.

There are plenty of players that you'll get way more than 30 hands on. I'm talking in a single session at a single table.

30 hands is nearly useless. It's degree of accuracy is low, but you will be able to identify people who play or raise every pot or to whatever high frequency. You may also be able to identify very tight players, but nothing in between that.

[/ QUOTE ]Uh.. 500? The only players that I have 500 on are the few 3-4 rich fish I follow around and other regular multitablers. In a perfect world 500 would be nice but you're rarely going to have that many.

by 50 hands im confident in the vpip/pfr/agro numbers, and after about 10 opportunities the fold to cbet #s become useful.

I have 1K+ on most of the regulars (some 5000+). It's certainly possible if you do a lot of datamining
