650BB down swing for a winning player? - Page 4

My question is based on this background: you have been a member of these boards since the beginning of 2004. about 1.75 years.

You have 500+K hands of 10/20 short where you were running over 3+ BB/100.

You have only 40 some odd posts and approx 10% of those are to report on this bad downswing.

Of all the wonderfull things you could share....Why choose to share this info, and not discuss hands/skills that a longtermish 3+ player has?

It makes a Husher wonder.....is this a very selfish guy or is this a troll on a stroll?

im not commenting on the issue at hand, but if you only post to bitch about downswings, you are very selfish.

I think the current party 10/20 6max game condition is about the same as one year ago. Here is my chart since August 1. Good to know I'm back on track again :-)

Normally I play 40k hands per month. I took a vacation aboard for about 3 weeks in August, so didn't log many hands in August.

I actually find this thread enlightening. In my short stint reading 2+2 (including the archives), I don't think I've stumbled upon a winning player (2.5+BB/100) over a good amount of hands reporting a 650+ BB downswing in limit holdem. Things that make you go hmm.

come on....this whole thread is about how the short-term is insane and unpredictable, but then you show a 23K graph to "prove" that the games are still good?

That graph is just running good. There is no way that you can consistently average 300BB in 5k hands. No way. There's two stretches like that in the 23k graph.
