Big Flop Butchered
I don't have the HH but here it is. I've played maybe one orbit, no real reads. It's a 5/10NL game.
I am in the SB w/ Ks5s UTG raises to 45, 5 calls to me, I call. Flop comes Kc4s2s, 3 checks UTG+1 bets 76(with 300 behind), folds to me and I raise to 400. UTG calls(600 behind) and UTG+1 folds. turn Ah. I check then call 300. River is a 2c. I check call the last 300. Results in white:UTG shows AK and acoops a monster I think where I really went wrong is the flop. A smaller raise would not have committed me as much. Obviously I was not expecting someone to cold call 400 though. In hindsight I think the best line to take here is to lead the flop and then push a raise (I'm assuming he checked the flop in order to raise, don't know why else he would check that flop), which would likely fold AK. What line do you take? Also given the way I played this is could I have folded the river for only 300? |

Re: Big Flop Butchered
Once villain calls your c-r he's obviously not afraid of the king. At that point you shouldnt consider yourself to have 2pair outs, only flushdraw outs (and on the turn, gutshot outs as well). Fold the river quickly and easily.
