luxor $50 min/max buyin?

hi. i am about to go to vegas for a week, and heard that the luxor is a good place to get your feet wet in live nl games. i have played a lot of nl online, and have played limit in a casino, but i figure i should start out safe, especially since i have a week to move up to another game once i feel comfortable. according to allvegaspoker, the luxor has $50 min/max buying games. what are the blinds?

also, does anybody know more specific details on the freeroll? allvegas says its on tuesday, and you only have to play 15 hrs to get in. hell, i might qualify on my first day. however, i don't know when the qualifying period is. i'm gonna be there sat-sat, so if its the previous week sun-sat, i guess i'm screwed. thanks.

When I played that game it was three blinds, 1,1,2. Also, as soon as you fall below $50 you can rebuy for another 50 so it's in essence a $98 game (buy in, post bb, rebuy).

A lot of folks seem to hate on the Luxor, but I like it. I also had the pleasure of meeting esteemed board member Steamboatin there in September.

I can't remember where I heard or read this, but I'm going to be out there the second week in July. I heard the qualifying period is Wednesday through Tuesday. I also heard or read somewhere, wish I could remember where, that the freeroll sometimes isn't played and they just chop the prize pool netting everyone between $60 and $90 depending on how many qualified.

yeah, allvegaspoker said that. i would almost rather play in the tourney, but free cash is always nice. as for wed-tues being the qualifying period, does this mean that play on the tuesday of the freeroll counts toward qualification? that doesn't seem like much prep time to set up the touney. thanks for the reply.
