My overall win rate at Party 10/20 6max is around 3BB/100 over 500,000 hands which includes this nasty 650BB down swing.

Before we all accept this as part of natural fluctation, can I ask what your win rate appeared like before the chart started?

In other words, before the downswing, did you have a considerable track record as a winning player? Otherwise, the chart could simply be explained by the fact that you got better.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is a very good point.

Yes, it's probably a once in a lifetime downswing then.

Can you perhaps tell us about your psychological state while going through this? How often did you drop limits? Did you come close to quitting? Tell us something juicy...

Maybe 10 to 20 percent.

[/ QUOTE ]

it's probably a hard thing to quantify. i'd think though that 10% of all decisions being influenced by tilt could yield some pretty crazy results. Doesnt 10 to 20% sound really high to you all if you think about what 10 to 20 % really means. Maybee you mean you had tilt occur for short period during 10 to 20% of your sessions. Hmm tilt is tuff to quantify anyway.

What I meant was that around 100BB lost because of the tilting.

The good thing was I had a very fat online active bankroll at the beginning of the downturn, abount 1000bb($20,000), so I didn't have to redeposit more money from my bank account. The funny thing was, I droped down limit for one session only. At the bottom of the valley, I played 4 tables of 5/10 6max for about 1000 hands and lost $200, then I was back to 10/20 6max again. I never thought about quitting, I had plenty of money sitting at the bank and I knew I am a winning player :-)
