PP WSOP step refunds?

I am being told by PP that I cannot get a refund for a step 5 that I have not played yet. I won a seat on a different site so it doesn't make sense to try and win a seat through the step tournaments anymore. Has anyone else received a different response from them or am I out of luck? I am sure that there will be many unused free rolls for each of the steps by the time the WSOP starts. Does PP really keep the money without refunding the free rolls to the players?

no, when they stop running the steps, they will refund the cost of the freerolls. unless they decide to just not stop running them, in which case they'd be just immediately running qualifiers for next year's tournament, and you can use your freeroll for that.
