Default $25 TT OOP

Really not sure what to make of this one. Villain hadn't been sat down a full round yet. He's raised one other hand pf but after only a couple of hands this doens't mean much.

I figure I'm looking at at least a king here most of the time against an unknown. Is that a reasonable assessment?

Villain has $18, hero covers.

Personally I don't like reraising preflop OOP against an unknown so I tend to stick to JJ+ AKS+. With a hand like TT that's so vulnerable to over cards, combined with his half stack I'm pretty committed to betting out on the flop if he flat calls me. Then he's taking my money when he hits and getting off easy when he doesn't. Then again, maybe he won't hit often enough for it to matter.

it could easily be a steal. if you don't reraise, are you only playing for set value, or maybe leading if the tens are an overpair?

Ok, so we're saying a better line would be reraise to about $4 fold to a push, smile at a fold and assess the flop when he calls?

If he does call are you leading just about any flop to give him another go at folding?

I don't mind the PF call, i never do it though. I'd re-raise to 3.50ish and lead out every flop if its HU. As played, this is a standard fold vs an unknown.

"it could easily be a steal" I highly doubt that a raise to 4xbb after a limper is an attempt to steal.
