JJ postflop play
First time playing 5-10 NL w/ $20 minimum bring in. $300 minimum buy in, most stacks well over $1000.
Hero raises to $50 from mid position with J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Small blind, somewhat loose passive but unpredictable, calls. All others fold. FLOP: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero watches for small blind's reaction before checking flop. Small blind looks down at the table and checks, not appearing to have even seen the flop. Hero bets $65. Small blind raises to $265. Hero has $230 remaining on top of the raise. Please leave your detailed thoughts. Thanks. |

Re: JJ postflop play
Push - Thoughts your too short for this to be anything else and that board is harmless.

Re: JJ postflop play
Full ring. I should say his bet confused the heck out of me. I believed he had some kind of a hand because he wasn't very aggressive, but nothing made good sense with that board and the preflop action. TT-88 or high diamonds seemed most reasonable, while AA-QQ was a possibility. Otherwise only a bluff could be raising me.
Potential holdings (with reasoning) would be appreciated. |
