Default Deep Stack, fight with little

25/50 5 handed. I have $8600 player behind me has me covered. I open to $175 he repops me to $600, nothing special going on this game between me and him or the way either of have played. This feels like a bluff though. I have 8h Kh and call with tentative plans to c/r a lot of flops. Decision number #1

Flop is 8s 3c 7h I check he bets $1,000 and I call.

Turn is 4h I check he bets $2500. He could have a big made hand, he could also be going aggressive here with a mediocre strength hand, or my initial read could be right that he's bluffing. What's the plan here?

he had just played a medium sized pot and lost it the last hand, and he instantly potted it behind me. plus i had been raising preflop a little too much as usual and not fighting back against reraises

Depending how you would play a set or a strait draw (the 56) in this spot, would you leed or C/R with those hands on the flop or turn? If you would play those hands in the same way you played this hand(and he knows this, or is a somewhat thinking player) I think you should go for the C/R AI. I dont like just calling here, because if the river blanks and he fires again you would have a real though decision, since you are so invested in the pot. Of course you could give it up here some % of the time against a player how will never be out of line.

But I think you haveto be pretty confident that he could laydown a big pair or make 2-barrel bluffs to make it a +ev decision, if you go for the C/R.

I think you have to call this with these stack sizes.
