Re: What\'s Mahatma\'s Story?

[ QUOTE ] This is a some decent info. http://www.compatiblepoker.com/Prahlad+Friedman.pro.htm [/ QUOTE ] Thanks man [/ QUOTE ] i'm not sure if all of this is credible either.. i've certainly never won 600k off him in one month. i think he got started in college playing at some live games in cardrooms in california and then moved to the internet game. i remember about 3 years ago he came to UB on the screen name devastator and was crushing 5-10nl and as they added higher stakes games he was beating those as well. tc |

Re: What\'s Mahatma\'s Story?
As a young african american raised on the streets of Harlem life was hard for little Prahlad. He learnt to think on his feet and gamble loose and hard in the back alley dice games he attended with his homies. That is where he got his unflappable nature and immunity to tilt of any kind. That was also where he learnt his unique brand of street ethics trust is very important among gang members. Playing from the computer in his local library he split his time between learning poker and writing rhymes. After converting to islam and losing his 'slave' name he became Mahatma the man we knew today. He travelled along a hard road and the best is yet to come...

I heard he came up with his screen name while eating a bowl of ready-serve rice.

Re: What\'s Mahatma\'s Story?
Believe it or not some of the largest cash games in the world are now being played online. At Ultimate Bet one of the largest online cash games was ever witnessed. Some rumored that it was the largest cash game ever played online with pots reaching over $200,000 on semi bluffs.
This heads up match was played by Prahlad Friedman and Patrick Antonious a player from Finland. It is rumored Antoninous finished $250,000 down. This match was held at Ultimate Bet where players like Phil Helmuth play. These million dollar cash games are rare, although, high stakes players are common at the $300/600 NL tables. Here is how the hand went down. I_Knockout_U posted small blind ($200) Zweig posted big blind ($400) I_Knockout_U raised for $1,000 Zweig raised for $4,800 I_Knockout_U called for $4,000 Dealing the Flop( 6s 7d 7s ) Zweig bet for $9,600 I_Knockout_U, you have 10 seconds to respond I_Knockout_U called for $9,600 Dealing the turn( 8h ) Zweig checked I_Knockout_U bet for $18,400 Zweig called for $18,400 Dealing the river( 4s ) I_Knockout_U bet for $32,000 Zweig went all-in for $66,943.50 I_Knockout_U called for $34,943.50 I_Knockout_U shows a Straight, Ten high ( 10h 9c 8h 7d 6s ) Zweig shows a Flush, Spades ( Js 7s 6s 4s 3s ) Zweig WINS $200,286 with a Flush, Spades Fact or Fiction This "Believe it or Not" story is indeed Fact. We have seen the screen shots and we give it our FACT approval. Hmm, its too bad they didn't notice that it wasn't played on ultimate bet. this site is [censored] ridiculous. |

Re: What\'s Mahatma\'s Story?
You're right for some reason I was thinking Ultimate Bet was part of the Prima network and I listed UB because I thought they were part of them. Brain fart...my bad.

Re: What\'s Mahatma\'s Story?
I'm glad you caught this. The story/bio we did on Justin Bonomo was pulled a couple months ago because of information that was mixed up. At this time the "Believe it or not" was done but I must have forgot to pull and change that as well. Either way thanks for calling it up and everything should be correct now.

Re: What\'s Mahatma\'s Story?
Hmm... I thought JJprodigy was just a high school kid, this is what his bio on your site says.
"Josh Field resides in Las Angeles California and <font color="red">began playing poker in college</font> . He graduated from the University of South California in 2006 and started playing poker 1 year prior." |
