Default Re: JayLear, Draft #1

That's a sick team for a 12 team league.
I hope Troy Williamson has a big year - I got laughed at for taking him in the 8th round. After my first couple of WR's I just tried to pick guys with lots of upside; we'll see how it works out.

18 teams! I have 15th pick.

ESPN Draft

1 pt for 25 passing yards, 10 rushing yards, 10 receiving yards

3 L. Fitzgerald, ARI WR
4 C. Palmer, CIN QB
5 R. Brown, MIA RB
6 M. Muhammad, CHI WR

10 Teams
No Yardarge Points, scoring (TD's FGs) only
6 for rush and receiving
4 for QB pass, 6 for QB run
Field Goals <39 3, 40-49 4 50+ 5
2pt conversion gives 2 to receiver and QB (2 for runner obviously)

35 points is nearly guaranteed victory

must start 2 RBs 2 WRs 1 TE 1 Kicker, 1 QB
$500 plus $10 per transaction. $20 charge for dead players (bye week, injured reserve, etc.)

2nd pick of the draft, snake around.

1 (2) L.T.
2 (19) Portis
3 (29) Chad Johnson
4 (32) Andre Johnson
5 (49) Tom Brady
6 (52) Fred Taylor
7 (69) Troy Williamson
8 (72) L.J. Smith
9 (89) Stover
10 (92) Ronnie Brown
11 (109) Chris Chambers
12 (112) Ryan Longwell

I know that I am probably the first person in fantasy history to take two kickers in the draft (deduct 2 letter grades), but Stover has a bye on week 3. I plan on using Longwell during his bye and picking up a backup QB since Brady has a bye week 7. I also have to pick up a backup TE for Smith for week 6.

13 team league (yuck, I know). QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, TE, K DEF, and six bench slots. 10 yards/pt for rushing and receiving, 50 yards/pt passing. ALL TDs are worth six. Defenses score pretty heavily.

I had the third pick in a snake draft. Round I drafted each player in parentheses

QB - Marc Bulger (5)
RB - Shaun Alexander (1)
RB - LaMont Jordan (2)
WR - Chad Johnson (3)
WR - Larry Fitzgerald (4)
WR - Lee Evans (6)
TE - Alge Crumpler (7)
K - Jeff Reed (15)
DEF - Arizona Cardinals (14)

BENCH - Thomas Jones (8), Reuben Droughns (9), Travis Henry (10), Marcus Robinson (11), Marshall Faulk (12), Brandon Lloyd (13).

My league drafted tonight, 10 team league, starters: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF

4 PTS per pass TD, 6 for other TD
1 PT per 25 pass yds, 1 PT per 10 rush/rcv yds

Many suspect picks in the league, number of owners who are winging it..

1. (7) Julius Jones - bought into the hype
2. (14) Deuce McAllister - shouldn't have been around
3. (27) Tony Gonzalez - wasn't intending to take, but got pressed for time when I thought Marvin Harrison was available and then found out he wasn't...clock caused me to make snap decision
4. (34) Chad Johnson - didn't figure to be available here
5. (47) Darrell Jackson
6. (54) Lamont Jordan - didn't figure to be available here, took over a WR
7. (67) Jimmy Smith - wr getting thin
8. (74) Jake Delhomme - only one team waited longer to take QB
9. (87) Steve McNair
10. (94) Carnell Williams - didn't figure to be available here
11. (107) Rod Smith
12. (114) Larry Johnson - if Priest goes down
13. (127) Donte Stallworth
14. (134) Jacksonville - heheh, clock got me again, thought Antwaan Randle El was available...tough early schedule, they will be waived
15. (147) Denver - plays Miami week 1
16. (154) Jeff Reed (K)

14 team league, standard scoring. QB/2RB/2WR/Flex/K/D-ST

(have to draft 2QB, 3RB, 4WR/TE, 2K, 2D)

QB (80) Byron Leftwich, (142) Kyle Boller

RB (7) Deuce McAllister, (22) LaMont Jordan,
(34) JJ Arrington

WR (51) Andre Johnson, (61) Darrell Jackson,
(88) Jimmy Smith, (138) Samie Parker

K (138) Jeff Wilkins, (169) John Carney

D (115) Pittsburgh, (167) Minnesota

A guy drafted two QB's with the same bye so he's gonna give me Eli Manning for Kyle Boller, if I take it.
