Best places to live in Europe?

At the end of this year I am strongly considering on moving to Europe for a temporary stay of 6months to a year. I am trying to get a good idea of where to live with the following needs:

great climate year round
not expensive
good nightlife
nice people

Barcelona

Barcelona is a great city, one of my favorites. I certainly wouldn't say it has great climate year round though, the winters are cold and rainy. I think Madrid might be more your style.
